Education/professional
experience:
AA College of Marin
For 10 years was owner of Ursula's Nature
Designs featuring handmade
pressed flower designs.
Completed fiber sculpture and fabric
printing programs at College of Marin as
well as numerous other art classes.
Artist's Statement:
The majority of my fiber sculpture works are
crocheted, some representing objects such as
food, some allegorical, some free-form
sculptures integrating found natural
objects, and a few entirely combined natural
materials. Impressions from my travels are
reflected in my art quilts. My mother taught
me to crochet as a young child in Poland.
Crocheting connects me to my childhood
memories and to the stories she told me.
