Education/Professional Experience
Ohio State University, B.S. and graduate studies San Francisco Art Institute, sculpture College of Marin, fiber sculpture program Fiber Dimensions, juror Marin Society of Artists, juror Marin Arts Guild, juror Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, judge Artist Statement My current oeuvre evolves from a progression of previous work in collage, assemblage, printmaking, wood and plaster sculpture, and fiber structure. Through diverse media I continue to develop a dialogue with the ambiguity of time and place perceptions as well as that of matter and material. Historic/geographic/culture-based premises are perpetually examined and explored. I recycle and redefine found, industrial, and prosaic components into forms that challenge their identity. Myriad references inform my work, increasingly realized through text and implied text. My sensibility drives this pursuit, restructuring and revising the content and intent of objects, materials, words, and images.
