Statement
In my attempt to give form to my ideas, I
work with initially shapeless materials and
transform them so that they possess a
definite sometimes rigid structure. I layer,
dye, sew and wrap silk, paper, plastic,
string and metal to create my forms. Through
choice of materials, form and technique I
explore my ideas.
Life has many layers of meaning, from the
outermost material aspect to the innermost
spiritual one; and life is always changing
whether for good or not so good. There is a
certain fluidity of thought and idea, and
form and design that can hold us in a moment
of time and give a deeper meaning to what we
see in everyday life. It is my intention
that my work reflects these ideas and
inspires you, the viewers.
